Mezzanine floor & Office fit out project – North Yorkshire.

We have recently installed an industrial mezzanine floor and office fit out project for a company in North Yorkshire. The install took place in a brand-new industrial unit where the client gave us the brief of designing a space with an ‘industrial’ look and feel.

The brief included a requirement for an office space, kitchen area and storage area with the aim to utilise any space above with a mezzanine floor to allow additional storage or future expansion of the office space.

To give the mezzanine floor an industrial look we started by powder coating all the components black (except for the staircase nosing’s which need to be a contrasting colour to comply with building regulations). The Chipboard came with an option to have the underside of the deck black which enhanced the look even further. We then had some bespoke encasements made for the purlins to finish off the look.

The kitchen included black handless cabinetry with black sink and taps, with a concrete effect worktop and splash back to offer some contrast. An open glass fridge added further to the industrial feel.

All the existing permitter breezeblock walls where painted black and the warehouse floor was grinded and lacquered to provide a polished concrete look.

The office area was fitted with a plasterboard bulkhead and ceiling and black framed partitioning system was used to separate the office space from the warehouse.

The project was a 5 week build and included mezzanine floor, staircase, handrail, kitchen, partitioning, decoration, floor painting, electrics, and ventilation. We offered a full design and build solution taking care of all aspects of the project allowing the client to continue running his business without any distraction. The facility is now ready to move straight into.

Overall, the client is very happy with the finished aesthetic, and we are too. We look forward to incorporating this style and design into future projects.
