We start by understanding your business, your building and what you need the new space to achieve.

One of our experienced designers will visit your premises to discuss your requirements and carry out a detailed site survey. We’ll assess the available space, understand how your business operates and explore the best options for your mezzanine floor, office or warehouse fit-out.

During the survey we’ll cover your initial brief, budget, finishes, building control considerations and any client responsibilities. We may also identify opportunities to use your space more effectively that you hadn’t previously considered.

Depending on the size and complexity of your project, a survey can take from around an hour to a full day.

With a clear understanding of your requirements, we turn your brief into a practical design.

Our design team will develop concept drawings showing how your mezzanine floor or fit-out could work within the building. Where appropriate, we can also produce 3D visualisations to help you understand how the proposed space will look and function.

We’ll talk you through the concept, specification and initial budget, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and refine the design before moving forward.

Once the concept is agreed, we develop it into a detailed proposal with clear costs and specifications.

Your quotation will itemise the different elements of your mezzanine floor or fit-out project, so you can clearly understand what is included. We’ll also provide the relevant drawings and an indicative programme, giving you a clear picture of the project scope, cost and anticipated timescale.

Where Nexus is delivering the complete project, you’ll have one experienced team responsible for coordinating every element.

Once you’re ready to proceed, your project moves into detailed planning and coordination.

You’ll have a dedicated project coordinator who becomes your point of contact as we prepare everything required for construction. Detailed drawings are produced for approval, secondary surveys are completed where necessary and a programme of works is developed.

We’ll coordinate materials, contractors, lead times and project information, bringing the different elements together ready for work to begin on site.

Before construction begins, we make sure everything is properly planned, documented and ready to go.

We’ll coordinate the required building control process and, where applicable, F10 notification. Construction phase plans and supporting information are prepared, including RAMS, drawings, programme information, insurance details and health and safety documentation.

You’ll also be introduced to your site manager, with a pre-start meeting used to confirm access, responsibilities, programme and site requirements before work begins.

With the planning complete, we bring your project to life.

Our site team will establish the site and deliver the works in accordance with the agreed drawings, specification and programme. Where we’re delivering a complete fit-out, we’ll coordinate the different trades and elements of the project as the space takes shape.

Throughout construction, we’ll manage health and safety, quality and progress while keeping you informed at every stage.

Once construction is complete, we make sure everything is finished properly and ready for your business to use.

We’ll walk through the completed project with you, identify and resolve any outstanding snagging items and provide the relevant Operations & Maintenance documentation.

Once the final checks are complete, we’ll formally hand over your finished mezzanine floor, office or warehouse space.
