RIVERSIDE MEDICAL OFFICE MEZZANINE FLOOR

Initially the team at Riverside Medical approached an architect to design up the space and create a tender document for them so they could go to market and obtain quotations. At this point they approached a few companies including Nexus Workspace. We evaluated the specification document and asked if we could offer alternate solutions utilising products  we were familiar with. One of the key alterations we made from the initial specification document was the mezzanine floor itself. The architect had specified a standard mezzanine floor, but after our intial site survey it was clear that the building was designed to have a mezzanine structure bolted directly into the structure. We contacted the developer and designed the steel to suit the building. This eliminated a lot of columns and has resulted in a much cleaner design. From this base we designed the office space following the initial design tweaking a few areas where cost effective alternatives could be offered.

Initially the team at Riverside approached Nexus after finding us on google. After reviewing the portfolio section of our website and watching case study videos of our previous projects it was clear that we would be a good candidate for the project.

Initially Nexus was asked to provide budgetary costs from the architect’s tender documents (which we provided) but from the outset the team at Nexus looked to provide alternate solutions to the original tender document. This resulted in a much more affordable project which never compromised on quality. This was demonstrated via teams’ meetings where we provided alternate design options, thoroughly providing explanations on why we thought they would benefit from alternate products or solutions and explaining the pros and cons of each option. This related to all aspects from the walls to the air conditioning system.

Working together we refined the design, and ultimately provided a solution that offered maximum value for the budget available. After this demonstration and the receipt of a detailed quotation document, the team at Riverside chose Nexus as their preferred contractor and the wheels were set in motion to build the project.
