CATHOLIC GIFT SHOP MEZZANINE FLOOR & FIT OUT

Catholic Gift Shop are an online retailer of all things related Catholic Gifts. Based in Malton they distribute worldwide a huge range of gifts and due to growth, they needed to move to a larger warehouse.

When the new industrial units became available on the outskirts of Malton, Paul (Business owner) began to evaluate the units to see if they were suitable. The challenge was the units were sold as an empty shell and required the tenant to fit out the unit. Paul needed to know if the space was the right size (for current and future growth) but also needed to establish a budget to fit out the empty unit so it was suitable for them to operate from. Paul began searching for companies to help provide some plans and costs to aid his decision making.

Paul began his search via google and quickly found Nexus. As the warehouse was still under construction a site visit wasn’t possible, so a meeting was set up over teams to discuss the requirements. Paul obtained the building plans from the architect and provided us with a brief of what was required.  The warehouse needed to provide a dual purpose. Some of the space needed to be fitted out with office space and most of the space was for storage purposes to house all the merchandise. With regards to office space the business required desk space for up to four people with two separate offices for managers. The unit also required a kitchen and breakout area and WC facilities.  It was decided that a mezzanine floor was a great solution for the business as it allowed the office space and facilities to be housed on the ground floor with the remaining ground floor space for storage and the entire first floor could be used for storage.
