WHERE WE WORK

We would love to be able to help create workspaces for businesses throughout the whole of the UK but unfortunately we can’t. The extra cost to you and the fact that we wouldn’t be able to manage your project to our high standards means that we must set a limit for how far we can work. The area we cover is highlighted to the right. As you can see, we essentially work as far North as Newcastle and as far South as Birmingham. So if your business is situated in an area we cover, get in touch today to discuss your plans for your new workspace.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

For any project that involves multiple contractors, it’s a legal requirement that you, the client appoints a Principal Designer for the project. This may sound like scary stuff, but it’s to ensure the health and safety of both your employees and our construction team. The Principal Designer’s main role is to ensure that all health and safety requirements & building regulations are considered within the design of your new facilities. They must also take into consideration how the finished facilities will be accessible from a maintenance perspective.

Once you have vetted and chosen your Principal designer, you need to formally appoint them and they will then begin designing your new space from the outset of the project. For more information on your duties as a client in relation to appointing a Principal Designer, click here.

PRINCIPAL CONTRACTOR

Before commencing with any project that will involve more than one contractor on site, you as the client must formally appoint a Principal Contractor. They will be responsible for all the sub-contractors that will be working on site and ensuring that the project is running smoothly.

Even if you as the client would like to use your own sub-contractors for elements of the project, they must fall under the umbrella of the Principal Contractor. This is because legally, the Principal Contractor is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all workers on site and making sure each sub-contractor knows how to carry out their duties safely.
