THE CHALLENGE
Tennant, a leading supplier in the industrial cleaning and hygiene sector, faced a major space challenge at their Bolton facility. Their existing workshop was operating at full capacity, leaving no room for expansion or additional storage.
They needed a storage mezzanine floor solution that would instantly increase usable space, without the disruption and cost of relocating. The project was especially complex: one new mezzanine floor had to be built over an active workshop area, while another required extending an existing mezzanine and incorporating brand-new shelving both above and below for parts storage.
On top of that, Tennant wanted an end-to-end fit-out service including electrics, suspended ceiling, lighting, and safety features—all seamlessly integrated.
THE SOLUTION
Nexus Workspace designed and delivered a complete fit-out that combined two mezzanine structures with tailored storage solutions:
New Storage Mezzanine Floor over Workshop: Installed directly above the active workshop, this strong, load-bearing mezzanine doubled the available floor area while maintaining full working headroom below.
Extended Mezzanine with Integrated Shelving: By extending an existing mezzanine and fitting new shelving systems above and below, we maximised storage density and improved parts organisation.
