THE CHALLENGE

Maxton Design occupies a state-of-the-art warehouse in Leeds. A couple of years back when they first moved to the new warehouse, Nexus Workspace completed the fit out of the new space. We installed a large mezzanine floor and constructed additional office space as well as packing areas.  A couple of years on and Maxton’s decided they would like to elevate the aesthetics of the reception area and breakout space. This reception is the first contact that clients have with the brand when they book in their vehicles to be kitted out. Maxton’s wanted to create a modern, branded area that was befitting of the brand and at the same time provide a relaxing space for people to sit and wait whilst work was undertaken on their vehicle.

THE SOLUTION

Nexus attended site to complete a survey and to discuss what level of refurbishment was required. It was clear from the outset that Maxton wanted to create the wow factor for their business and incorporate large aspects of their branding and colour scheme. Nexus suggested the introduction of a third-party interior designer who works with us on projects of this nature. The interior designer met directly with Maxton and create a scheme that was in line with the customers’ expectations. The brief was a reception area (manned) display area for merchandise and body kits, a visitor WC, kitchen and lounge area for staff and visitors to relax. Often people sit and wait whilst work is undertaken on their vehicle, so a coffee station was required with a place for people to sit and wait. Nexus completed all aspects of the project, acting as main contractor. The works involved bespoke joinery, AC, electrics, flooring, decoration, window blinds, furniture and more…

THE RESULTS

The transformation of the space has been remarkable. Originally the space was a typical warehouse reception area with white walls and plain carpets. Now it feels like you have walked into a purpose-built bespoke area.  The quality of the finishes are exceptional. Bespoke carpentry, complemented by the company colour scheme and signage really sets the space apart. All complimented by the black ceilings tiles, and fixtures, Maxtons now boast a superb visitor waiting area. The breakout space is also multi purpose, split in two with bespoke dividers to offer dual purpose. A place for customers to sit and wait and also a staff breakout space for employees. Overall Maxton Design are delighted the finished results of the refurbishment.

“We are excited to have completed this project and look forward to bringing this standard of fit out to our future work”
