OFFICE MEZZANINE FLOOR FOR CRIMPIT

Crimpit are a company based in Warrington who came up with the ingenious idea of creating a product that allows you to easily seal food within thins or slices of bread. As a new company (the product only came to market in 2020) they have seen amazing growth in such a small space of time. Like many businesses, growth patterns are difficult to predict and often businesses outgrow premises whilst still been tied into a long-term lease.  This was the position Crimpit found themselves so they began to look for solutions to add more space to their already packed-out warehouse. That’s where they googled a mezzanine floor and discovered that that they could use the height of their warehouse to add additional office space without disrupting the warehouse operations.

Crimpit needed additional office space and on the wish-list was a dedicated space for creating online marketing content (YouTube videos and TikTok’s). After discovering what a mezzanine floor could be used for, they contacted Nexus Workspace to discuss how a mezzanine floor could work for their business. Nexus attended site and could see straight away that space was at a premium. The warehouse had a small existing office block, and the warehouse space was already bursting at the seams with storage, picking and packing areas. Crimpit wanted to add an additional office space and dedicated photo room so it was decided a mezzanine floor could be built over the packing area that would adjoin the existing offices, allowing a knock through door at mezzanine level to allow access between the new and existing offices. The mezzanine floor would also be fitted with a secondary staircase to allow access into the warehouse and provide a second means of escape.
