COVID-19 A company update

Nexus Workspace

What a strange time we are currently navigating. Will things ever return to normal? I certainly hope so, but for now we have to get used to a ‘new normal’.

At Nexus, like most businesses we currently have some staff on Furlough. Over the past few weeks we have been operating on a reduced staff but from Monday we are re-introducing one of our designers (Lee Maddaford) back into the team.

This will allow us to cover all bases of the business: sales, design, project management, accounts and of course our installation teams.

I am pleased to say it is very much business as usual at Nexus. We have a great refurbishment project on site in Huddersfield which is due to run until July. We also have a reception and WC refurbishment underway in Nottingham, and various smaller partitioning projects running simultaneously.

Next month will also see us starting a warehouse fit out in Doncaster. We are constructing a new manufacturing facility which will be under construction for 8-10 weeks. The project is extensive and involves the construction of the new facility using food safe panels, ceilings, electrics, flooring, and joinery works. Regular updates will be provided via our social media channels and website.

As for new enquiries I am pleased to say we are open for business. We have been conducting site surveys safely over the last couple of weeks whilst keeping social distancing at the forefront of everything we do.

It’s important for everyone’s safety that we can be segregated on site, so we can understand your requirements and conduct a site survey in a safe manner. Our designers are kitted out with masks, hand sanitisers and gloves to use where necessary.

With relation to all our ongoing sites we have stringent measures in place to ensure our installation teams and project managers are kept as safe as possible.

Vans are restricted to a maximum of two passengers, teams are managed as to not be working in the vicinity of each other and site numbers are kept to a minimum. We also have strict regimes in place with regards to regular cleaning practices.

If your business is re-opening and you are thinking about extending your workspace with a mezzanine floor (a great way to increase floor space and social distancing) or you are looking to move premises, please feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements.  You can email me at  and we can either arrange a site visit or communicate through Skype, Microsoft teams etc..

Of course, we are following the government guidelines closely and we will implement any recommendations as they arise.

In the meantime, #staysafe and #stayalert
