MEZZANINE FLOOR DELIVERY - LAXTONS PROJECT UPDATE
We entered our fourth week of the warehouse fit out, storage & office mezzanine floor project for Laxtons’ this week. The project is taking place in Guiseley at the brand new Baildon Business Park.
Warehouses are still being built at the location and Laxtons’ approached us to fit out their new premises after a recommendation from West Yorkshire Glazing (Who also recently moved into the same business park).
We fitted out and constructed an office mezzanine floor for West Yorkshire Glazing last year, as they were one of the first businesses to move onto the park. So as you can imagine, subsequent businesses looking to move there too, have taken tours of their premises before making a decision. So we are very grateful for West Yorkshire Glazing’s kind words to their visitors.
The project for Laxtons’ is due to take twelve weeks and so far we have installed the warehouse lighting and ventilation. The first stage of the plumbing works have also taken place and the high bay lighting trunking has been installed.
This week the mezzanine floor elements have been delivered to site. These include the mezzanine columns, purlins, boards, handrail parts and the staircases. Here at Nexus, we manufacture our own mezzanine floors, so not only does this save money for the client, but it also ensures that the mezzanine floors are designed exactly to our specifications, enabling our client to receive the correct solution for their needs.
We are a turn key solutions provider, so this is a seamless process for us, due to the fact that we conduct site survey’s for all our projects and then design the layout too. Carrying out each stage of the process ourselves, eliminates the possibility of cross wires, that may otherwise occur when using multiple contractors.
The project for Laxtons’ is also notifiable under the CDM 2015 regulations, so we are acting as both principal designer and contractor. This is another way of making it easier for the client, due to us managing the project and ensuring that a safe design and construction process is carried out.
Once the project is complete, Laxtons’ will have a brand new state of the art warehouse facility that is primed to grow their business even further. The premises will be home to their vast number of machines and the mezzanine floor ensures plenty of storage space for their raw textile materials.
The office space on top of the mezzanine will be ideally placed to oversee all warehouse operations and the extra space will allow them to take their business to the next level.
We can’t wait to see the facility in all it’s glory once the project is complete and we will be producing a video case study so we’ll be able to share it, when it’s all up and running.
