OFFICE & STORAGE MEZZANINE FLOOR - BLACKBURN DISTRIBUTIONS PROJECT UPDATE
Our latest project brings us to Burnley where we are implementing an office and storage mezzanine floor solution for a leading partner and supplier to the supplement, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Blackburn Distributions have been providing products to their clients since 2004 and have recently acquired a new premises.
With increasing customer demand, the business is growing, which has led to the need to purchase a new premises in Burnley. The size of the new warehouse is ideal to manufacture their products and store them. However like so many warehouses these days, it was sold empty.
This requires the new tenant or owner to source a fit out company like ourselves to come in, design and build essentially everything that they require within the warehouse. In Blackburn Distributions case, they required office facilities, storage space and a temperature controlled production area for their products.
The clean room areas require constant clean air supply so they had to ensure they picked a fit out contractor that has carried out similar projects in the past. With our track record of projects like this for AJS Labels and Northern Flags in the past to name a few, they knew they could trust us to meet their requirements.
A mezzanine floor was the ideal solution for Blackburn Distributions as it allowed them to make the most of the available space within their warehouse. The mezzanine creates the structure for the new office, storage space and production facilities. With an open plan office, Director’s office and storage space on top of the mezzanine and production facilities, WC, kitchen and meeting room space on the ground floor below the mezzanine.
The mezzanine is also designed in such a way that it can facilitate additional office space in the future if needed. We are acting as Principal Designer and Contractor on the project and are implementing a complete turn-key solution for Blackburn Distributions.
That means we are implementing each and every aspect on the project including the warehouse & office lighting, power and data requirements, partitioning, carpets and warehouse floor paint. The project is due to take around eight weeks to complete and we will be looking to interview the owner of Blackburn Distributions Ben Blackburn once they are all settled in.
