OFFICE MEZZANINE FLOOR - KIRKWOOD WILSON PROJECT UPDATE
It’s the first day on site today at our office mezzanine floor project for the accountancy firm, Kirkwood Wilson. The owner of MGA Controls, David has purchased a warehouse next door and required a fit out of the premises to ensure it’s suitable for his wife’s company, Kirkwood Wilson to move in.
The warehouse initially was too large for Kirkwood’s requirements, so we have built a wall in the middle of the warehouse to separate it into two sections. The other side will be rented out to a different company in the future.
Nexus were recommended to through an existing client after they were impressed with what we provided them with. After this recommendation, David invited us in to discuss the plans for the building.
As it was essentially an empty warehouse, apart from a toilet block, the premises would require a complete fit out. We visited site to conduct a survey and sat down with David to discuss their requirements and suggest ideas.
An office mezzanine floor was by far the best solution for them as it allowed them to literally double their space due to the mezzanine taking up the full footprint of the available space. The new facilities we are creating on top of the mezzanine include an open plan office space, Directors offices, a storage facility and a new tea point.
Underneath the mezzanine we are creating a reception and waiting area, kitchen and WC facilities and a conference and training room. We are removing the existing roller shutter door on the warehouse to create a brand new glass frontage and entrance to the reception area.
This part of the project will be starting in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on our project updates in the future.
